Hidden Agenda
smokingsides
Frances is first seen lighting as she watches TV. She later fires up another cigarette, holding her mouth open as the smoke curls up thickly towards her nostrils and into her lungs. Another drag shows a more visible exhale. In a third scene, she accepts a cigarette and a light, sucking it deep inside her, exhaling some and then talking out the rest as Michelle lights her own. Frances then takes another drag, blowing the smoke out noisily. Michelle is glimpsed holding later on. Towards the end of the film, Frances inhales a fierce drag as she drives - watch her lick her lips appreciatively before exhaling. |
Laurel Canyon
smokingsides
Francis is smoking something--bong, joint, cigarettes--in just about every scene she's in. It's mostly well-filmed, with some powerful inhales & exhales, including a nice French. Kate, looking hotter than I've ever seen her, has two scenes sharing a joint, with one very nice close-up of a deep drag. Unfortunately the camera is off her for any exhale. Overall I would recommend this one, especially for Francis M fans. |
Short Cuts
smokingsides
Jennifer: many scenes smoking either Marlboro Lights or pot. Lili Taylor: many scenes smoking cigarettes or pot. Lily Tomlin: one or two scenes. Julianne: 2 scenes. Madeleine: a few scenes and she even inhales a few drags. Frances: two good scenes. [Cusack] close to the end of the film riding bike in a park |
