Wilson has a number of good smoking scenes with some good looking drags she takes on a frequent cigarette. But the action is not much on her smoking and with the exception of a exhale here and there not much is seen. Barkin has about two scenes the first at a bar where she's just holding, the second is in the police station where she take a single drag while looking over video images of the film's victums. |

Young actresses Press and Blunt smoke in most of the scenes they share, as the director seems to use their mutual smoking as a metaphor for their relationship. He holds the camera on them, often in close-up, rather than break away before the exhale. At one point, Press lights two cigarettes simultaneously and passes one to Blunt. In another scene, Blunt takes Press's cigarette from her and dangles while they dance. The actresses mostly do long, deep inhales. A good movie in general, and an excellent smoking movie. |

'Got a fag?' 'I thought you quit.' 'I did.' With that, Kate falls off the wagon! Nice lightup, voluminous exhale, made more pronounced by the cold weather. Another scene, Kate takes drag after drag, expelling the smoke out her nose while continuing to suck. Another girl blows about 6 not so well formed smoke rings. Kate lights up in a bar. Several nice inhales, but editing ruins most of the exhales. Outside the bar, light up, huge exhale in close up. More. One gets the impression that Kate won't be trying to quit again. |
