Playing a strong woman dealing with men like Freud and Nietzsche in this fascinating film, Winnick has one excellent scene smoking a cigar. She enters a doctor's office and, as she sits, picks up a long cigar from a box on his desk. Holding it towards him expectantly, she waits for him to light it. As he does, she stares at him provocatively (in a nice continuous close-up). She doesn't seem to inhale much, but she takes in a good amount of smoke, lets it float in her open mouth for a second, then blows it towards his face. A bit later, she takes one other quick drag with a slight exhale in a medium shot. |
