| Overview (TMDB): | After her picture perfect husband is murdered in a prostitute's apartment, Beverly Hills homemaker Catherine is devastated. But she doesn't spend too long mourning, because she's soon on a mission to put her husband's killer behind bars. To do so, she forms an unlikely partnership with Marla, the Hollywood hooker who serviced the deceased. [Post] smokes throughout, but nothing particularly grabbed me from my seat. Post smokes in a total of 13 different scenes, including three talk-and-droops from the corner of her mouth, and just has to be an IRL. Her drags are forceful, with her cheeks hollowing, and she uses her tongue to savour the flavour, but her exhales are hardly discernible. In one scene she takes a cig from a guy's mouth, drags, and returns it whence it came. In another, she draws a cigarette from a pack with her lips, and in a third she lights from another woman's cigarette. Cindy plays a non-smoker, but smokes unconvincingly as she pretends to be a prostitute. There is a scene in a packed cell, in which all the girls except her are smoking, when she asks for the non-smoking section! |
