In this classic and controversial French film full of young boys constantly smoking cigarettes and cigars, pretty blonde teenager Chauvaud is the only girl (or woman) to smoke and her scene is way too short. The film cuts to her sitting on a bench with the young male lead, just as she exhales a lovely well-controlled plume of smoke. A few seconds later, she walks away holding, and that's it for her. There are also one or two ambient shots of adult women holding and a bit of dialogue in which the young male lead's mother makes fun of one of her lovers because he doesn't have cigarettes for after sex, but she's never seen smoking (neither with that lover nor when she makes love with her son...). |
