In the opening scene, she holds as she stalks around an apartment, berating her violently abusive husband, who she's tied up. The camera takes the husband's point of view. Then about two minutes in, she stands close and says 'I smoke because I want to, okay?,' turns her profile to us as she takes a long, hard drag, inhales deeply, turns to him (and us), forms an O with her lips, and exhales forcefully right into his (our) face. The rest of the movie is in flashback, and though he complains a couple of times after finding her stashed packs of Marlboro Lights, we don't see her smoking them.
