Overview (TMDB): Story of a young woman who marries a fascinating widower only to find out that she must live in the shadow of his former wife, Rebecca, who died mysteriously several years earlier. The young wife must come to grips with the terrible secret of her handsome, cold husband, Max De Winter. I only saw the second (and final) part of this, but there is a magnificent scene in which Lucy's red lips fill the entire screen. We don't actually see the drag, but she opens her mouth really wide and we see a thick cloud of cigarette smoke disappear into her lungs. The director cuts away as she begins what would have been a devastating talk-exhale. Spectacular!
