| Overview (TMDB): | Kenneth Bianchi, one of the two serial rapists and killers who terrorized the Los Angeles area in the late 1970s, is giving police station interviews to psychiatrist Samantha Stone, who has disquieting lifestyle issues of her own. It falls to her to delve into the details of the case to determine the veracity of Bianchi's claims of multiple personality disorder, but in so doing, she is forced to relive the horrific crimes, one of which occurs at her very doorstep. |

Wow! Not much to the story, but the performance by Daniels is fantastic with her smoking Kent cork-tips throughout the film: 02:30 - One light up and few hard to notice inhales as a superimposed 70s disco & drug-induced orgy begins, scene also includes her toking from a crude hash pipe before pairing off with a random party goer. 11:30 - one quick drag walking into a police precinct. 16:00 - Possibly the best scene in film; while interrogating a murder suspect, Daniels has a light-up followed by 8 drags in 8 minutes, though most exhales are hard to see. 30:00 - One drag, followed by some holding. 32:00 - More excellent stuff as Daniels talks with her patient in the 5 minute scene. 5 cheek-hollowing drags followed, better filmed exhales including one brief and faint nose-mouth talk combo. 39:30 - Another interrogation scene. One light-up followed by a lot of holding, and frustration as she fiddles around with her cig like it was more of a prop than anything. 46:00 - Nude Daniels takes a hit off a joint during a three-way sexual encounter. After a while, she gets jealous of the other girl, and slowly walks downstairs and outside to light up next to a pool (all while in the buff). 48:00 - Frought after events in the film, a short dangle followed by a light-up. 49:30 - Light-up in a morgue, followed by one close up drag, but cut before any exhale. 68:00 - Final interrogation scene, two light-ups, one dangle followed by a light-up, and a lot of holding and playing with her cigarette as in the second interrogation scene over 8 minutes. In all, a MUST SEE, definitely knows what she's doing but the weak performance in the longer scenes points to a casual/light smoker. The quantity of scenes plus the quality of Daniels, the closest thing on Earth to resemble actress Traylor Howard means this is a must-own for me and a highly RECOMMENDED RENTAL for all those out there. |
