Overview (TMDB): | A film about three teenagers - Klara, Mina and Tanutscha - from the Berlin district of Kreuzberg. The trio have known each other since Kindergarten and have plenty in common. The three 15-year-olds are the best of friends; they are spending the summer at Prinzenbad, a large open-air swimming pool at the heart of the district where they live. They're feeling pretty grown up, and are convinced they've now left their childhood behind. |

This is a great documentary film about three 16 year old girls from the borough of Kreuzberg in Berlin, Germany. The three teen girls, Klara (Reinacher), Tanutscha (Glowasz) and Mina (Bowling) are constantly smoking throughout the whole movie. Klara mostly smokes Gauloises Blondes (the strong, blue ones), in one scene she also smokes red John Player Specials. The girls really smoke everywhere, in front of their parents, in front of their little siblings, in fast food restaurants, while they are bowling, on the street... really everywhere. The film was made before the smoking ban in Germany, and the legal age for smoking at that time was still sixteen. (BTW, at the Berlin Film Festival the girls told in an interview that all of them had started smoking at age 11 or 12 and that they have always smoked everywhere) |
