At about the fifty-three minute mark of the movie, Dee Hartford, Groucho Marx, and William Bendix are in an office discussing an upcoming horse race. Dee takes a very elegant cigarette holder from her purse, walks across the room, and gets an all white cigarette from a box on a coffee table. She very carefully puts the cigarette in the holder while telling Groucho and Bendix how she wants them to make sure their horse loses the race. Dee then sits down in a chair and accepts a light from Groucho with no visible exhale. She keeps the freshly lit cigarette and holder in her hand for the rest of the office scene, which goes on for about two more minutes. |
