All smoking by her is done as a symbol for seductiveness - therefore it's self-consciously done for erotic effect. At 59:00 and 1:06 she accepts lights gracefully and flirtatiously. Plenty of graceful holding. There's one pretty good exhale at 1:00 and a faint talk exhale at 1:06. At 1:10 there's a disturbing vision - Whalley's beautiful body, cigarette elegantly poised, but shockingly with John Hurt's ugly old face instead of hers! I'm not kidding! A smoke fetishist's nightmare! Aarghh! I want to wake up!
