Movies
A Patch of Blue
smokingsides
Winters has two light-ups, one followed by a thick exhale, though it's hard to tell if she inhales or not. She drags again, starts to exhale, and talks out the final bit of smoke. Hartman samples Sidney Poitier's cig, blowing into it rather than dragging. She finally takes a drag and coughs. No exhale.
Bloody Mama
smokingsides
Varsi plays a prostitute who sleeps with one of Ma Barker's sons. She smokes several times, but the best scene is when she gets out of bed in the nude and lights up
Lolita
smokingsides
[Winters] Uses a holder in her first scene. Lost of grand gesturing.
smokingsides
Griffith smokes quite a bit early in the movie. Unfiltered cigs (50's). Dominique Swain (only 14 at the time, obviously not IRL), has one scene at the end in which she mainly just holds. Her character is pregnant at the time, if that appeals to anyone.
Next Stop, Greenwich Village
smokingsides
Greene has 9 scenes, including some lightups and exhales. Brenner has 8 scenes with a couple of exhales and a closeup dangle, unlit. She sometimes uses a little holder. Winters has one scene. Set in the 50's, they smoke short non-filters.
Phone Call from a Stranger
smokingsides
A few scenes, including some nice holding with a white glove and a brief holder shot in negative. She doesn't really inhale, though.
Poor Pretty Eddie
smokingsides
Smokes in several scenes, with decent exhales. However, she looks [bad], so this isn't anything great.
S.O.B.
smokingsides
[Berenson] Smokes in two scenes, one in a restaurant and once in bed. Faint exhale in second scene. Lots of background pot smoking during the party scene.
The Chapman Report
smokingsides
All I recall is one scene where she was nervously smoking up a ton, waiting to see her shrink.
The Devil's Daughter
smokingsides
smokes long brown cigarettes, which she describes as Spanish, printed with occult symbols. Holds, drags, and exhales with her usual style and sophistication.
The Mad Room
smokingsides
Shelley lights up in medium shot, but doesn't show much exhale. Carol inhales in close-up, but camera cuts away before she exhales. Not too much to see in this film.
The Scalphunters
smokingsides
portrays a hardboiled, fomer brothel madam and smokes cigars in a few scenes. I recall one lightup and a couple of visible exhales.
