Biography (TMDB): Michelle Marie Pfeiffer (born April 29, 1958) is an American actress and producer. She has received many accolades, including a Golden Globe Award, and three nominations for Academy Award. Pfeiffer began to pursue an acting career in 1978 and had her first leading role in the musical film Grease 2 (1982). Frustrated with being typecast as the token pretty girl, she actively pursued more serious material and had her breakthrough role as gangster moll Elvira Hancock in the crime film Scarface (1983). Further success came with leading roles in the fantasy feature The Witches of Eastwick (1987) and the comedy Married to the Mob (1988). Her roles in Dangerous Liaisons (1988) and The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) garnered her two consecutive Academy Award nominations, for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress, respectively; her portrayal of lounge singer Susie Diamond in the latter is one of the most acclaimed of her career. Pfeiffer went on to star as Catwoman / Selina Kyle in Tim Burton's superhero film Batman Returns (1992), following which she won the Silver Bear for Best Actress and earned a third Academy Award nomination for playing a troubled housewife in Love Field (1992). She continued to gain praise for her performances in the dramas The Age of Innocence (1993) and White Oleander (2002), and the horror films Wolf (1994) and What Lies Beneath (2000). During this time, she also produced a series of films under her production company Via Rosa Productions. After a hiatus from acting in 2002, she returned with the musical Hairspray (2007). She received her first Emmy Award nomination for portraying Ruth Madoff in the HBO television film The Wizard of Lies (2017), she went on to feature in the ensemble films Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and debuted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Janet Van Dyne in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). Since then, she has reprised her role in Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023). [Pfeiffer] holds only during one scene [with a holder] - but does so with grace and style!
Grease 2
smokingsides
Only a short scene with Michelle. A few ones with Lorna. [Pfeiffer] classic exhale ... Unfortunately, it doesn't last long
Into the Night
smokingsides
[Pfeiffer] Three or four excellent scenes. [Pfeiffer] smokes some kind of cork tip 100's
Personal Effects
smokingsides
mostly holds, except for near the end of her smoking when she has a fabulous snap inhale
Power, Passion and Murder

[Pfeiffer] This is in my top 5 of all time. Michelle plays a '30s movie star, so you've got the red lipstick, a holder scene, the works. Smokes in almost every scene. The best: a long, thick, lip-dangling exhale in a restaurant.
Scarface
smokingsides
Several scenes smoking looong all-whites. Great close-up. There is a nice scene where she momentarily droops an unlit all-white from the corner of her mouth as she speaks. Several close-ups holding. I don't think Mastrantonio smokes in this film.
Sweet Liberty
smokingsides
Three scenes. She makes a couple of phone calls holding a long-all white Marlboro (green packet - menthol?), then lights another - a faint exhale is visible. Later, she sucks her smoke down noisily in an outdoor scene. In a third scene, she allows her freshly-lit 100 to droop from her lips as she speaks.
The Age of Innocence
smokingsides
Two scenes. It's hard to say whether they're really good or not. Michelle, of course, is known as a very ladylike smoker who shines holding a cigarette, and there's no let down here. However, the smoke is faint and the exhales indiscernable. Overall, it could have been better....much better.
The Deep End of the Ocean
smokingsides
Smokes a Marlboro Light in one scene; lights it with two inhales and one visible exhale. Appears to be IRL.
The Fabulous Baker Boys
smokingsides
This is Michelle... need to hear more? She smokes black cigarettes in many scenes... Need to hear more? I knew you needed not! Also takes an extraordinary cheek-hollowing drag off a cork tip, in full close-up
