Set among a group of all (very feminine appearing) lesbian friends in WW2 Berlin, seemingly all of whom smoke. Schrader smokes the most by far, and has a style reminiscent of Parker Posey's or Helena Bonham Carter's, with lots of smoke released as she removes the cigarette from her mouth but plenty inhaled as well. We see tons of these inhales, but many of her exhales are cut away from or hard to see, but there's at least one very good one. Kohler has only two scenes, the first a dangling scene where she takes several rapid-fire uninhaled puffs, but in her later scene she does inhale and exhale. Just when you think Wokalek's not even a smoker she has a scene near the end where she shows probably the best single exhale of the whole film, long and thick. Others smoke too, but I'm not sure of their names.
