Biography (TMDB):	Carina Lau Kar-ling (Chinese: 劉嘉玲; born 8 December 1966) is a Hong Kong-Canadian actress and singer. She started her acting career in TVB, before going on to achieve success in films after her 2nd year in college. She was notable in the 1980s for her girl-next-door type roles in films. She also plays Empress Wu Zetian in Tsui Hark's Detective Dee films, starting with Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame in 2010. She has won Best Actress awards at the Hong Kong Film Award and Mainland China's Golden Rooster Awards, and has been nominated at Cannes Film Festival and Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards.

Carina Lau drags 3 times on her cigarette at the beginning of the movie. Faye Wong is seen dragging in a few scenes, in a very sensual way. Too bad we can't really see the smoke coming out of her mouth. The stunning Zang Ziyi smokes in a couple of scene but it's kinda disappointing: she holds briefly in one scene and takes 2 drags outside on a rooftop in another one but it's shot from afar. At least the drags seem quite long. Maggie Cheung is only seen with a cigarette dangling from her lips in the last part of the movie.

Cherrie smokes in 2 scenes, [in one] she is holding and takes a shallow drag, the other both she and Carina smoke in the washroom. We see them both light up, but we don't see any drags taken after that. Cherrie lights up and almost no exhale, Carina's exhale is small, she has done better than this.

Gu huo da lu shi

She only smokes in 1 scene, 2/3 of the way through, but it's another fine show by Carina, hard drags, large bodied exhales, very thick exhales, impressive as usual.
