| Biography (TMDB): | From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Adele Jergens (November 26, 1917 - November 22, 2002) was an American actress. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jergen's birth date is sometimes listed as 1922. Jergens first rose to prominence in the late 1930s, when she was named "Miss World's Fairest" at the 1939 New York World's Fair. In the early 1940s, she worked as a Rockette, and was named the Number One Showgirl in New York City. After a few years of working as a model and chorus girl, including being an understudy to Gypsy Rose Lee, Jergens landed a movie contract with Columbia Pictures in 1944, with brunette Jergens becoming a blonde. Her chorus girl past came in handy when she played an exotic dancer in Armored Car Robbery (1950). She was usually cast as blonde floozies and burlesque dancers. She once played Marilyn Monroe's mother in Ladies of the Chorus (1948) despite the fact that Jergens was only 9 years older than Monroe. In 1949, while filming Treasure of Monte Cristo, a film noir set in San Francisco, she met and married co-star Glenn Langan (The Amazing Colossal Man). They remained married until his death in 1991. Their only child, actor Tracy Langan, predeceased his mother. She is interred in the Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. At :09 and :18 Adele Jergens has holding scenes. At :35 she takes three deep drags from an all white and exhales each time. At :45 she has two drags and exhales. At :56, while in the driver's seat of a truck, she puts an all white in her mouth but the scene cuts away before she lights it. |

Anne and Ione smoke in three scenes each. You don't get to see anything worthwhile in Ione's first scene, but she looks good holding, and her character is supposed to be a teenager smoking in front of her father if that turns you on. Anne has a reasonable inhale, exhale about half way through. Both smoke together in a scene towards the end, and do it well, but the camera irritatingly does not linger long enough on either. Ione lights up and gives a glorious exhale in the second last scene, but Anne in the last scene of the movie gives us the best inhale, french-inhale and exhale of the movie. |

A confident drag and natural nasal exhale from Lewis, who also drags in another scene. Bacall is first glimpsed lighting up in the background with a couple of drags and exhales. Later, she accepts a cigarette, taps it on her hand, is lit, throws her head back and blows out some smoke, before taking a heavy second drag with a talk-exhale. This is followed by two further drags/exhales. Jergens holds in one scene. |
