Additionally, she is remembered as a child actress from the films Field of Dreams, Uncle Buck, Now and Then, and Volcano. |

Featherstone has a few scenes, but only one good one, with a couple of deep drags. Garofalo has one scene in a cab, unlit dangling, having trouble with matches, at first, finally borrowing a lighter. Hoffmann gives the best performance of the movie, smoking in most of her scenes (including just after waking up), always dragging very strongly, and only waiting a few seconds between puffs. Kellner has one weak puff. Love holds in many scenes, but only has five or six drags total. In the first, she pauses for a few seconds after a seemingly full exhale, and then talks out additional smoke for another five to ten seconds. Parker has a few ok scenes. Plimpton lights up a couple of times and takes a few other cheek hollowers. |

Melanie Griffith, a very accomplished smoker, has a textbook-perfect exhale. Demi Moore also smokes a cigarette, but gives disappointing exhales. In another scene, three girls take their first cigarettes from a Vietnam vet. Ricci, Birch and Hoffman all light up. We don't see much more than holding with Ricci and Hoffman, but Thora Birch, playing a 12-year-old girl, is shown dragging and exhaling about three times. I don't know how old Thora is, but she looked comfortable (and nice) smoking. |

There are only 2 scenes but they are excellent and make this hard to find movie well worth searching for. The first scene about 30 minutes in has her lighting up and smoking a long cigar. After initially inhaling her boyfriend scolds her for doing this and tells her not to inhale anymore. She unfortunately agrees and then only ends up puffing on the cigar with a couple more uninhaled drags. The second and more interesting scene is almost at the end of the movie. Here she takes 9 deep IRL looking drags with very visible exhales most in closeup. This scene is enhanced because it is all uncut and unedited showing complete inhales and exhales. Overall this movie deserves one or two stars and after seeing this I don't think there is any doubt that she is IRL. |
