| Biography (TMDB): | Emilia Rose Elizabeth Fox is an English actress and presenter whose career is primarily in British television. Her feature film debut was in Roman Polanski's film The Pianist (2002). If you don't mind bad acting and some hilariously anachronistic dialogue and hairstyles, there's some pretty sexy smoking going on here from Phillips, who plays a classic 30's femme fatale. Several minor characters smoke too, including a nightclub singer who takes an ultra-closeup drag. |

I did not see Hawes smoke in this movie. Each actress has one scene with a few puffs. Only Fox inhales, the rest just fake it. Fox is very good, IRL inhales and exhales, good sound, looks great. |

Two scenes halfway through are worthy of note. In the first of these, [Fox] is seen taking a final drag and extinguishing her cigarette; seconds later, and now in close-up, she lights another, with three good drags and exhales and a trace of smoke still on her breath as she converses. In the very next scene, she enthusiastically takes three heavy drags from her brother's cigarette, talk-exhaling against a dark background. She lights up confidently on two further occasions. Riley is a 20-year-old neophyte who accepts a cigarette and a light, but then needs to be told it is better to suck than to blow! |

Fox plays the red headed Sprig, and literally smolders in her role as chain smoking bobbed youth. Dressed in tight leather pants, she plays in the background of several scenes as the seductive smoker. One memorable walk away from the camera, looking back into your eyes and smoking deeply while watching you. She knows. |
