The outstanding beautiful Maria Bonnevie does a very good job in this movie. Several scenes smoking Marlboro Lights. We first get to see her making two inhale/exhales lying naked in bed, later a medium/long range shot of her lighting up outside her house. There are two deep inhales, followed by long nose/mouth exhales. Next there are several scenes from a dinner party. Nice close ups, snap inhales followed by slow exhales and brief nostril exhales. Several other scenes as well, most of them with good natural lighting. Definitively worth seeing if you like Scandinavian blondes. The DVD edition has even more to offer. There is an alternate take of the dinner party scene, showing her inhaling deeply in extreme close up, blowing out some very long exhales directly into the face of a drunk guy, trying to wake him up. Also a beautiful lit french inhale followed by a combo mouth nostril exhale. In the documentary about the making of the movie, we can see her holding and lighting up on the set

Only saw the trailer, but [Bonnevie] had one beautifully lit ultra closeup in which she extinguishes a match with a thick, slow exhale, the last remnants of which show smoke from her nostrils flowing into the stream emanating from her lips.

A must see. This swedish movie features some very, very nice smoking. As the setting is 1920s and amongst a group of intellectuals/students, almost all the female characters are smoking. Well lit scenes with nice inhales, talk exhales and so on. Still its the performance of the beautiful scandinavian blonde Maria Bonnevie which really saves the day. Several scenes: Lighting up, inhaling and exhaling from unfiltered cigs. And as an extra bonus: The final scene of the movie has her looking straight into the camera, taking a long drag, doing a nice snap inhale and slowly blowing the smoke straight into the camera with a clever glimpse in her eye. Very Nice
